SNAP benefits stolen on or after December 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement with federal funds due to the expiration of statutory authority on December 20, 2024. If your benefits were stolen before this date, you may still qualify for a replacement.
To report stolen benefits, contact your state agency by phone, mail, or in person at your local office. Households had 60 calendar days from the plan’s start date (August 23, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. For new thefts, claims must be submitted within 30 calendar days of discovery.
The state will validate your claim within 14 calendar days, and approved benefits will be issued within 14 calendar days after that. Make sure to re-PIN your EBT card to help prevent further unauthorized access.
