Additional Information
The statutory authority to replace stolen SNAP benefits ended on December 20, 2024. As a result, any benefits stolen on or after December 21, 2024, are no longer eligible for replacement through federal funds. If your benefits were stolen before that date, contact your state agency to report the theft and initiate a claim.
For retroactive claims, households have 60 calendar days from the state’s plan start date of July 12, 2023. Regular claims must be submitted within 60 calendar days from the first instance of theft. Claims can be submitted by mail, phone, online, or in person at local offices. The state has 30 calendar days to validate claims, and approved benefits are issued within 10 calendar days after approval. Be sure to replace your EBT card to prevent further misuse.
