Additional Information
The federal authority to replace stolen SNAP benefits expired on December 20, 2024. This means any benefits stolen on or after December 21, 2024, cannot be replaced using federal funds. If your benefits were stolen before this date, it’s important to contact your state agency as soon as possible to report the theft.
Households have 60 calendar days from the state’s plan start date of July 24, 2023, to submit retroactive claims. For recent thefts, you must report the incident within 30 days of discovery and file your claim either by phone or in person at a local office. The state will validate your claim within 10 calendar days, and if approved, benefits will be issued within another 10 days. Be sure to replace your card to ensure continued access to your benefits.
