Additional Information
The authority to replace stolen SNAP benefits ended on December 20, 2024. This means any benefits stolen on or after December 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement through federal funds. If your benefits were stolen before that date, contact your state agency as soon as possible to report the theft.
Households had 30 calendar days from July 10, 2023, when the state initiated its plan, to file a retroactive claim. For regular claims, theft must be reported within 30 days of discovery, followed by a claim form submission within the next 30 days. Theft reports must be made by phone, while claims can be submitted by mail, online, or in person. The state will validate claims within 5 calendar days, and if approved, benefits are issued within another 5 calendar days. A replacement card is required to access the reissued benefits.
