Additional Information
The authority to replace stolen SNAP benefits using federal funds ended on December 20, 2024. This means any benefits stolen on or after December 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement. If your benefits were stolen before that date, promptly contact your state agency to report the theft.
Households had 90 calendar days from the state plan approval date (February 24, 2023) to file a retroactive claim. For regular claims, you must file within 45 days of discovering the theft. Claims can be submitted online, by mail, or in person at local offices. The state is required to validate claims within 10 calendar days, and approved benefits are issued within 3 calendar days after approval. Don’t forget to replace your EBT card to help prevent future theft.
